Reader's theatre is a well-used method and studied for practising oral reading. We examined teachers' experiences implementing our drama educational reader's theatre. We interviewed 12 Finnish teachers to find out what benefits teachers see in reader's theatre. The participants saw the approach as beneficial, not only considering reading but in various other areas as well. We also wanted to examine what kind of teacher actions lead to successful DERT. We found out that teachers' sensitivity on embodied level is essential, and the teacher should meet student needs carefully. Overall, implementing the programme seemed successful and beneficial for the students.en
