The production of bosons at large rapidities in Pb–Pb collisions at is reported. candidates are reconstructed in the dimuon decay channel (), based on muons selected with pseudo-rapidity and . The invariant yield and the nuclear modification factor, , are presented as a function of rapidity and collision centrality. The value of for the 0–20% central Pb–Pb collisions is , exhibiting a deviation of 2.6σ from unity. The results are well-described by calculations that include nuclear modifications of the parton distribution functions, while the predictions using vacuum PDFs deviate from data by 2.3σ in the 0–90% centrality class and by 3σ in the 0–20% central collisions.

First measurement of Ξc0 production in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier B.V., 2018)The production of the charm-strange baryon is measured for the first time at the LHC via its semileptonic decay into e in pp collisions at TeV with the ALICE detector. The transverse momentum () differential cross section ... -
Inclusive J/𝜓 production in forward proton-proton and proton-lead collisions at high energy
Gimeno-Estivill, Patricia; Lappi, Tuomas; Mäntysaari, Heikki (American Physical Society, 2024)We calculate the cross section for forward J/𝜓 production in proton-proton and minimum bias proton-lead collisions using the color glass condensate (CGC) and nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) formalism consistently with deep ... -

ALICE collaboration (Springer, 2020)Measurement of Z-boson production in p-Pb collisions at √sNN = 8.16 TeV and Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV is reported. It is performed in the dimuon decay channel, through the detection of muons with pseudorapidity ... -
Multiplicity-dependent production of Σ(1385)± and Ξ(1530)0 in pp collisions at s√=13 TeV
The ALICE collaboration (Springer Nature, 2024)The production yields of the Σ(1385)± and Ξ(1530)0 resonances are measured in pp collisions at s√=13 TeV with ALICE. The measurements are performed as a function of the charged-particle multiplicity ⟨dNch/dη⟩, which is ... -
Studying strangeness and baryon production mechanisms through angular correlations between charged Ξ baryons and identified hadrons in pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV
The ALICE collaboration (Springer Nature, 2024)The angular correlations between charged Ξ baryons and associated identified hadrons (pions, kaons, protons, Λ baryons, and Ξ baryons) are measured in pp collisions at √s=13 TeV with the ALICE detector to give insight into ...
