• define and compare the basic constructs used to describe work–family interaction, and understand the context in which they were developed; • explain the most common theoretical models applied in work–family interaction research and know their limitations; • recognize the antecedents and outcomes of work–family conflict and work–family enrichment in the domains of both work and family; • understand the roles of coping strategies, work–family policies, and culture in promoting work–family balance; • evaluate the practical value of existing work-family interaction research from the perspectives of employees and organizations.
