We describe the synthesis of a novel boron-dipyrromethene (BODIPY)-caged amine capable of adhering to a pristine graphene surface via non-covalent bonding and demonstrate the release of the amine with green (530–540 nm) light both in solution and adhered to a graphene surface.

Anion recognition by halogen bonding
Lehikoinen, Arttu (2022)Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa esitellään anionien tunnistus käsitteenä ja siihen liittyviä keskeisiä aiheita, ensisijaisesti halogeenisidos, käydään läpi. Myös halogeenisidosanionireseptorit ja niiden suunnittelun eri näkökulmat ... -
Chalcogen‐Bonding Interactions in Telluroether Heterocycles [Te(CH2)m]n (n=1-4; m=3-7)
Rodewald, Marko; Rautiainen, J. Mikko; Niksch, Tobias; Görls, Helmar; Oilunkaniemi, Raija; Weigand, Wolfgang; Laitinen, Risto Sakari (Wiley, 2020)The Te…Te secondary bonding interactions (SBI) in solid heterocyclic telluroethers were explored by preparing and structurally characterizing a series of [Te(CH2)m]n (n = 1‐4; m = 3‐7) species. The SBIs in 1,7‐Te2(CH2)10, ... -
Definition of the pnictogen bond (IUPAC Recommendations 2023)
Resnati, Giuseppe; Bryce, David L.; Desiraju, Gautam R.; Frontera, Antonio; Krossing, Ingo; Legon, Anthony C.; Metrangolo, Pierangelo; Nicotra, Francesco; Rissanen, Kari; Scheiner, Steve; Terraneo, Giancarlo (De Gruyter, 2024)This recommendation proposes a definition for the term “pnictogen bond”; the term pnictogen bond designates a subset of the attractive interactions between an electrophilic region on a pnictogen atom in a molecular entity ... -
Experimental investigation of anion–π interactions – applications and biochemical relevance
Giese, Michael; Albrecht, Markus; Rissanen, Kari (RSC Publications, 2016)Anion–π interactions, intuitively repulsive forces, turned from controversial to a well-established non-covalent interaction over the past quarter of a century. Within this time frame the question “Anion–π interactions. ... -
