We give an alternative proof for the fact that in n-dimensional Alexandrov spaces with curvature bounded below there exists a unique optimal transport plan from any purely (n−1)-unrectifiable starting measure, and that this plan is induced by an optimal map. Our proof does not rely on the full optimality of a given plan but rather on the c-monotonicity, thus we obtain the existence of transport maps for wider class of (possibly non-optimal) transport plans.

Existence of optimal transport maps in very strict CD(K,∞) -spaces
Schultz, Timo (Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2018)We introduce a more restrictive version of the strict CD(K,∞) -condition, the so-called very strict CD(K,∞) -condition, and show the existence of optimal maps in very strict CD(K,∞) -spaces despite the possible ... -
On the notion of parallel transport on RCD spaces
Gigli, Nicola; Pasqualetto, Enrico (European Mathematical Society Publishing House, 2020)We propose a general notion of parallel transport on RCD spaces, prove an unconditioned uniqueness result and existence under suitable assumptions on the space. -
Mukautuvan koeasetelman soveltaminen kategorisen havaitsemisen tutkimiseen neuropsykologiassa
Lehtomäki, Minna (2014)Tässä tutkielmassa tutkitaan kognitiiviseen neuropsykologiaan kuuluvaa ilmiötä, nimeltään äänteiden kategorinen havaitseminen, käyttämällä mukautuvaa koeasetelmaa. Tarkoituksena on ollut kehittää ohjelma, jonka avulla ... -
PAINT: Pareto front interpolation for nonlinear multiobjective optimization
Hartikainen, Markus; Miettinen, Kaisa; Wiecek, Margaret M. (Springer, 2012)A method called PAINT is introduced for computationally expensive multiobjective optimization problems. The method interpolates between a given set of Pareto optimal outcomes. The interpolation provided by the PAINT method ... -
A New Hybrid Mutation Operator for Multiobjective Optimization with Differential Evolution
Sindhya, Karthik; Ruuska, Sauli; Haanpää, Tomi; Miettinen, Kaisa (Springer, 2011)Differential evolution has become one of the most widely used evolution- ary algorithms in multiobjective optimization. Its linear mutation operator is a sim- ple and powerful mechanism to generate trial vectors. However, ...
