Workseed-ohjelman käyttöönotto Seinäjoen ammattikorkeakoulussa työharjoitteluiden ohjauksen välineenä

Abstract

Tämän mixed methods -tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää ja kuvata Seinäjoen ammattikorkeakoulussa käyttöönotettua Workseed-ohjelmaa työharjoitteluiden ohjauksen välineenä. Tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa kokemuksia ohjelman käyttöönottamisesta ja käytöstä, vertailla eri kohderyhmien kokemuksia ohjelmasta sekä tarkastella sitä, miten uuden ohjelman käyttöönotto on muuttanut työharjoittelun ohjausta. Aineisto kerättiin sähköisellä kyselyllä, joka kohdennettiin opettajille ja opiskelijoille. Tämän jälkeen toteutettiin kuuden opettajan teemahaastattelut. Käyttöönottoon ja käyttöön liittyviä teemoja tarkasteltiin UTAUT-mallin avulla, joka yhdistää useita käyttöönottoon liittyviä teorioita. Tutkimuksen mukaan ohjelman käyttö koettiin positiivisena asiana, vaikka käytössä oli ilmennyt haasteita. Suurin osa koki ohjelman käyttämisen helppona ja mielekkäänä. Sukupuolen tai iän ei havaittu olevan yhteydessä ohjelman käyttöön. Opettajat kokivat oman työmääränsä lisääntyneen ohjelman käyttämisen myötä, mutta sitä ei nähty negatiivisena asiana, vaan opiskelijoiden oppimisen kannalta hyvänä asiana. Ohjelma koettiin hyvänä pedagogisena lisänä omaan ohjaustyöhön.

The purpose of this mixed methods study was to find out and describe initalization of the Workseed program in Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences as a tool for internship guidance. The purpose was to survey the experiences of the acceptance and use of the program, to compare the experiences of different target groups with the program and to look at how the initalization of the new program has changed intership guidance. The data was collected through an electronic survey targeted at teachers and students. This was followed by thematic interviews with six teachers. Initalization-related themes were examined using the UTAUT model, which combines several initalization-related theories. The results of this study show that using the program was perceived as a positive thing, although there were also challenges. Most found the program easy and meaningful to use. Gender and age were not found to be associated with the use of the program. Teachers felt that their own workload increased with the use of the program albeit it was not seen as a negative thing but as a good thing for students. The program was perceived as a good pedagogical addition to teachers work.
