We study exclusive dijet production in electron-proton deep inelastic scattering at the future Electron Ion Collider. We predict the elliptic modulation of the cross section as a function of the angle between the dijet transverse momentum and the recoil momentum, and show that this modulation is a result of having non-trivial angular correlations in the Wigner and Husimi distributions between the transverse coordinate and transverse momentum. The small-x evolution is shown to decrease the elliptic modulation in the EIC kinematics, due to the growth of the proton with decreasing x.

Diffractive dijet production and Wigner distributions from the color glass condensate
Mäntysaari, Heikki; Mueller, Niklas; Schenke, Björn (American Physical Society, 2019)Experimental processes that are sensitive to parton Wigner distributions provide a powerful tool to advance our understanding of proton structure. In this work, we compute gluon Wigner and Husimi distributions of protons ... -
One-loop corrections to light cone wave functions : The dipole picture DIS cross section
Hänninen, Henri; Lappi, Tuomas; Paatelainen, Risto (Elsevier Inc., 2018)We develop methods to perform loop calculations in light cone perturbation theory using a helicity basis, refining the method introduced in our earlier work. In particular this includes implementing a consistent way to ... -

NNLO nuclear parton distribution functions with electroweak-boson production data from the LHC
Helenius, Ilkka; Walt, Marina; Vogelsang, Werner (American Physical Society (APS), 2022)We present new sets of nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDFs) at next-to-leading order and next-to-next-to-leading order in perturbative QCD. Our analyses are based on deeply inelastic scattering data with charged-lepton ...
