The azimuthal correlations of D mesons with
charged particles were measured with the ALICE apparatus
in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV and p–Pb collisions at
√sNN = 5.02 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. D0, D+,
and D∗+ mesons and their charge conjugates with transverse
momentum 3 < pT < 16 GeV/c and rapidity in the nucleonnucleon
centre-of-mass system |ycms| < 0.5 (pp collisions)
and −0.96 < ycms < 0.04 (p–Pb collisions) were correlated
to charged particles with pT > 0.3 GeV/c. The yield
of charged particles in the correlation peak induced by the
jet containing the D meson and the peak width are compatible
within uncertainties in the two collision systems. The
data are described within uncertainties by Monte-Carlo simulations
based on PYTHIA, POWHEG, and EPOS 3 event
generators.

Measurement of charm and beauty production at central rapidity versus charged-particle multiplicity in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2015)Prompt D meson and non-prompt J/ψ yields are studied as a function of the multiplicity of charged particles produced in inelastic proton-proton collisions at a centreof-mass energy of √ s = 7 TeV. The results are reported ... -
Charged-particle multiplicity distributions over a wide pseudorapidity range in proton-proton collisions at s√= 0.9, 7, and 8 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Springer, 2017)We present the charged-particle multiplicity distributions over a wide pseudorapidity range (−3.4<η<5.0) for pp collisions at s√=0.9,7, and 8 TeV at the LHC. Results are based on information from the Silicon Pixel Detector ... -
Emergence of Long-Range Angular Correlations in Low-Multiplicity Proton-Proton Collisions
ALICE collaboration (American Physical Society, 2024)This Letter presents the measurement of near-side associated per-trigger yields, denoted ridge yields, from the analysis of angular correlations of charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at √s= 13 TeV. Long-range ridge ... -

Measurement of the non-prompt D-meson fraction as a function of multiplicity in proton-proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Springer, 2023)The fractions of non-prompt (i.e. originating from beauty-hadron decays) D0 and D+ mesons with respect to the inclusive yield are measured as a function of the charged-particle multiplicity in proton-proton collisions at ...
