The azimuthal correlations of D mesons with
charged particles were measured with the ALICE apparatus
in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV and p–Pb collisions at
√sNN = 5.02 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider. D0, D+,
and D∗+ mesons and their charge conjugates with transverse
momentum 3 < pT < 16 GeV/c and rapidity in the nucleonnucleon
centre-of-mass system |ycms| < 0.5 (pp collisions)
and −0.96 < ycms < 0.04 (p–Pb collisions) were correlated
to charged particles with pT > 0.3 GeV/c. The yield
of charged particles in the correlation peak induced by the
jet containing the D meson and the peak width are compatible
within uncertainties in the two collision systems. The
data are described within uncertainties by Monte-Carlo simulations
based on PYTHIA, POWHEG, and EPOS 3 event
generators.

Inclusive J/𝜓 production in forward proton-proton and proton-lead collisions at high energy
Gimeno-Estivill, Patricia; Lappi, Tuomas; Mäntysaari, Heikki (American Physical Society, 2024)We calculate the cross section for forward J/𝜓 production in proton-proton and minimum bias proton-lead collisions using the color glass condensate (CGC) and nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) formalism consistently with deep ... -
Studying high pT momentum azimuthal anisotropies in unpolarized proton-proton collisions using transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distribution and fragmentation functions
Soudi, Ismail; Majumder, Abhijit (Sissa, 2024)Recent experimental results have shown that small systems such as p-p and p-A collisions exhibit a non-zero azimuthal anisotropy even at large pT.However, no evidence of jet quenching has been observed in these collisions. We ... -
Dielectron production in proton-proton and proton-lead collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society, 2020)The first measurements of dielectron production at midrapidity (|ηe| < 0.8) in proton–proton and proton–lead collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV at the LHC are presented. The dielectron cross section is measured with the ALICE ... -
Study of flavor dependence of the baryon-to-meson ratio in proton-proton collisions at √ s = 13 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society (APS), 2023)The production cross sections of D0 and Λ+c hadrons originating from beauty-hadron decays (i.e., nonprompt) were measured for the first time at midrapidity (|y|<0.5) by the ALICE Collaboration in proton-proton collisions ... -
Emergence of Long-Range Angular Correlations in Low-Multiplicity Proton-Proton Collisions
ALICE collaboration (American Physical Society, 2024)This Letter presents the measurement of near-side associated per-trigger yields, denoted ridge yields, from the analysis of angular correlations of charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at √s= 13 TeV. Long-range ridge ...
