In this work we study systematically the energetics and intensity distributions of Gamow-Teller (GT

isovector spin monopole (IVSM

Bonn-A two-body interaction in large no-core single-particle valence bases. Our studies indicate that the GT

strength at the giant resonance (GTGR) region and the low-energy part of the IVSM
−
strength overlap, which
could be of significance for the analyses of the (
p,n
) type of reaction experiments at and around the GTGR.

Gamow-Teller response in the configuration space of a density-functional-theory–rooted no-core configuration-interaction model
Konieczka, M.; Kortelainen, Markus; Satuła, W. (American Physical Society, 2018)Background: The atomic nucleus is a unique laboratory in which to study fundamental aspects of the electroweak interaction. This includes a question concerning in medium renormalization of the axial-vector current, which ... -
Two-neutrino ββ decays and low-lying Gamow-Teller β− strength functions in the mass range A=70–176

(Elsevier BV, 2019)Gamow-Teller β decay is forbidden if the number of nodes in the radial wave functions of the initial and final states is different. This Δn = 0 requirement plays a major role in the β decay of heavy neutron-rich nuclei, ...
