We have developed a non-perturbative light-front Hamiltonian formalism to simulate the real-time evolution of a quark state in a SU(3) colored medium, with a series of works. In this proceeding article, we focus on the transverse momentum broadening of an in-medium quark jet. We perform the numerical simulation of the quark jet evolution in the |𝑞i + |𝑞𝑔i Fock space at various medium densities. By analyzing the resulting jet light-front wavefunction, we extract the gluon emission rate and the non-eikonal quenching parameter. Additionally, we provide the analytical derivationof the eikonal expectation value of the quark-gluon state’s transverse momentum for any color configuration and arbitrary spatial distribution. This study can help understand jet momentum broadening beyond the eikonal limit.

Momentum broadening of an in-medium jet evolution using a light-front Hamiltonian approach
Li, Meijian; Lappi, Tuomas; Zhao, Xingbo; Salgado, Carlos A. (American Physical Society (APS), 2023)Following the nonperturbative light-front Hamiltonian formalism developed in our preceding work [Li. et al. Phys. Rev. D 104, 056014 (2021)], we investigate the momentum broadening of a quark jet inside a SU(3) colored ... -
Jet momentum broadening during initial stages in heavy-ion collisions
Boguslavski, K.; Kurkela, A.; Lappi, T.; Lindenbauer, F.; Peuron, J. (Elsevier, 2024)We study the jet quenching parameter ˆq in the initial pre-equilibrium stages of heavy-ion collisions using the QCD kinetic theory description of the anisotropic quark-gluon plasma. This allows us to smoothly close the gap ... -

Rapidity dependence of initial state geometry and momentum correlations in p+Pb collisions
Schenke, B.; Schlichting, S.; Singh, P. (American Physical Society (APS), 2022)Event geometry and initial state correlations have been invoked as possible explanations of long-range azimuthal correlations observed in high-multiplicity p+p and p+Pb collisions. We study the rapidity dependence of initial ... -
Transverse-momentum and event-shape dependence of D-meson flow harmonics in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier BV, 2021)The elliptic and triangular flow coefficients v2 and v3 of prompt D0, D+, and D⁎+ mesons were measured at midrapidity (|y|<0.8) in Pb–Pb collisions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of √sNN=5.02TeV with the ...
