A tool to analyse internal conversion electron energy spectra measured simultaneously with γ rays has been developed. It is based on the calculation of an electron energy spectrum by means of obtained γ-ray data, including resolution and efficiency parameters associated with the experimental setup and its comparison with the measured spectrum. Here, we present the working principle of the tool, demonstrate its performance with a standard 133Ba calibration source, and report on conversion coefficients of three transitions feeding the 9− isomeric state in 190Tl, measured in an in-beam spectroscopy experiment.

gA-driven shapes of electron spectra of forbidden β decays in the nuclear shell model
Kostensalo, Joel; Suhonen, Jouni (American Physical Society, 2017)The evolution of the shape of the electron spectra of 16 forbidden β− decays as a function of gA was studied using the nuclear shell model in appropriate single-particle model spaces with established, well-tested nuclear ... -
Epätavallisen korkeataajuiset luonnon VLF-radioemissiot
Sirviö, Iina (2019)Vuosina 2008-2019 Sodankylän geofysiikan observatoriossa järjestetyissä mittauskampanjoissa on havaittu VLF-aaltoja, joita ei pitäisi havaita lainkaan revontulialueella. Teorian mukaan havaittujen aaltojen ylärajataajuuksien ... -

Laulainen, Janne; Kalvas, Taneli; Koivisto, Hannu; Kronholm, Risto; Tarvainen, Olli; Aleiferis, S.; Svarnas, P. (AIP Publishing, 2017)Photoelectron emission measurements have been performed using a 2.45 GHz ECR-driven multi-dipolar plasma source in a low pressure hydrogen discharge. Photoelectron currents induced by light emitted from ECR zone and H− ... -
