The NEMO-3 results for the double-β decay of 150Nd to the 0+ 1 and 2+ 1 excited states of 150Sm are reported. The data recorded during 5.25 year with 36.6 g of the isotope 150Nd are used in the analysis. The signal of the 2νββ transition to the 0+ 1 excited state is detected with a statistical significance exceeding 5σ. The half-life is measured to be T 2νββ 1/2 (0+ 1 ) = 1.11+0.19 −0.14 (stat) +0.17 −0.15 (syst) × 1020 year, which is the most precise value that has been measured to date. 90% confidence-level limits are set for the other decay modes. For the 2νββ decay to the 2+ 1 level the limit is T 2νββ 1/2 (2+ 1 ) > 2.42 × 1020 year. The limits on the 0νββ decay to the 0+ 1 and 2+ 1 levels of 150Sm are significantly improved to T 0νββ 1/2 (0+ 1 ) > 1.36×1022 year and T 0νββ 1/2 (2+ 1 ) > 1.26 × 1022 year.

Nesterenko, D. A.; Jokiniemi, L.; Kotila, J.; Kankainen, A.; Ge, Z.; Eronen, T.; Rinta-Antila, S.; Suhonen, J. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2022)The 98Mo double-beta decay Q-value has been measured, and the corresponding nuclear matrix elements of neutrinoless double-beta (0νββ) decay and the standard two-neutrino double-beta (2νββ) decay have been provided by ... -
New measurement of double-β decays of 100Mo to excited states of 100Ru with the CUPID-Mo experiment
CUPID-Mo Collaboration (American Physical Society (APS), 2023)The CUPID-Mo experiment, located at the Laboratoire Souterrain de Modane (France), was a demonstrator experiment for CUPID. It consisted of an array of 20Li2100MoO4 (LMO) calorimeters, each equipped with a Ge light detector ... -

Kotila, J.; Iachello, F. (American Physical Society (APS), 2021)A complete calculation of the nuclear matrix elements (NME) for Majoron emitting neutrinoless double beta decay within the framework of IBM-2 for spectral indices n=1,3,7 is presented. By combining the results of this ... -
Search for periodic modulations of the rate of double-β decay of Mo100 in the NEMO-3 detector
The NEMO-3 Collaboration (American Physical Society (APS), 2021)Double-beta decays of 100Mo from the 6.0195-year exposure of a 6.914 kg high-purity sample were recorded by the NEMO-3 experiment that searched for neutrinoless double-beta decays. These ultrarare transitions to 100Ru have ...
