The JYFL gas-filled recoil separator RITU, combined with Ge detector arrays, has successfully been employed in Recoil-Decay-Tagging (RDT) experiments in order to probe, for the first time, structures of several very neutron deficient heavy nuclei. In this contribution new data for light even-mass Hg, Pb and Po nuclei are shown and discussed.

A change in structure is apparent from the first rotational alignments in 162W and ... -
Structure of superheavy nuclei along decay chains of element 115
Shi, Yue; Ward, D. E.; Carlsson, B. G.; Dobaczewski, Jacek; Nazarewicz, W.; Ragnarsson, I.; Rudolph, D. (American Physical Society, 2014)[Introduction] A recent high-resolution α , X -ray, and γ -ray coincidence-spectroscopy experiment offered the first glimpse of excitation schemes of isotopes along α -decay chains of Z = 115. To understand ... -

(American Physical Society, 2013)Knowledge of the exact microscopic structure of the 01 + ground state and first excited 02 + state in 150Sm is required to understand the branching of double β decay to these states from 150Nd. The detailed spectroscopy ... -

Accessing the gluonic structure of light nuclei at a future electron-ion collider
Mäntysaari, Heikki; Schenke, Björn (American Physical Society, 2020)We show how exclusive vector meson production off light ions can be used to probe the spatial distribution of small-x gluons in the deuteron and 3He wave functions. In particular, we demonstrate how short-range repulsive ...
