If n≥3 and Γ is a convex-cocompact Zariski-dense discrete subgroup of SOo(1,n+1) such that δΓ=n−m where m is an integer, 1≤m≤n−1, we show that for any m-dimensional subgroup U in the horospheric group N, the Burger-Roblin measure associated to Γ on the quotient of the frame bundle is U-recurrent.

Lipschitz Carnot-Carathéodory Structures and their Limits
Antonelli, Gioacchino; Le Donne, Enrico; Nicolussi Golo, Sebastiano (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2023)In this paper we discuss the convergence of distances associated to converging structures of Lipschitz vector fields and continuously varying norms on a smooth manifold. We prove that, under a mild controllability assumption ... -
Conformality and Q-harmonicity in sub-Riemannian manifolds
Capogna, Luca; Citti, Giovanna; Le Donne, Enrico; Ottazzi, Alessandro (Elsevier Masson, 2019)We establish regularity of conformal maps between sub-Riemannian manifolds from regularity of Q-harmonic functions, and in particular we prove a Liouville-type theorem, i.e., 1-quasiconformal maps are smooth in all contact ... -
Failure of Topological Rigidity Results for the Measure Contraction Property
Ketterer, Christian; Rajala, Tapio (Springer Netherlands, 2015)We give two examples of metric measure spaces satisfying the measure contraction property MCP(K, N) but having different topological dimensions at different regions of the space. The first one satisfies MCP(0, 3) and ... -
Ideas for using GeoGebra and Origami in Teaching Regular Polyhedrons Lessons
Budinski, Natalija; Lavicza, Zsolt; Fenyvesi, Kristof (The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), Ministry of Education, 2018)The approach of combining GeoGebra and origami is well accepted among students in the school "Petro Kuzmjak" where it is used to teach geometry lessons. This article elaborates on how to introduce students (upper elementary ... -
Aesthetics of Geometry and the Problem of Representation in Monument Sculpture
Lähdesmäki, Tuuli (Birkhäuser, 2017)Since the 1920s and 1930s, constructivist and concretist visual art movements have stressed geometric forms, proportions and orders as a base for artistic expressions and aesthetic experiences. After the World War II ...
