. Jet fragmentation is studied measuring the scaled transverse momentum spectra of the charged constituents of jets in four intervals of jet transverse momentum between 5 and

. The measurements are compared to calculations from the pythia model as well as next-to-leading-order perturbative QCD calculations with powheg+pythia8. The charged jet cross section is well described by powheg for the entire measured range of

Analysis of the fragmentation function based on ATLAS data on proton-proton collisions at √s=7 TeV
Barba Moral, Elias (2016)In high energy particle physics, the collision of two protons leads to quantum interactions through the strong force. This interactions produce highly energetic scattered particles that start to produce more particles ... -
Studying high pT momentum azimuthal anisotropies in unpolarized proton-proton collisions using transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distribution and fragmentation functions
Soudi, Ismail; Majumder, Abhijit (Sissa, 2024)Recent experimental results have shown that small systems such as p-p and p-A collisions exhibit a non-zero azimuthal anisotropy even at large pT.However, no evidence of jet quenching has been observed in these collisions. We ... -
Prompt and non-prompt J/ψ production cross sections at midrapidity in proton-proton collisions at √s = 5.02 and 13 TeV
ALICE collaboration (Springer, 2022)The production of J/ψ is measured at midrapidity (|y| < 0.9) in proton-proton collisions at √s = 5.02 and 13 TeV, through the dielectron decay channel, using the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The data sets ... -
