On a fixed domain approach for a shape optimization problem
Mäkinen, R., Neittaanmäki, P., Tiba, D. (1992). On a fixed domain approach for a shape optimization problem. In W. F. Ames & P. J. van der Houwen (Eds.) Computational and Applied Mathematics II : Differential Equations : selected and revised papers from the IMACS 13th World Congress, Dublin, Ireland, July 1991, pp. 317-326.
A fixed domain approach is presented for solving an optimal shape design problem governed by the transmission problem. In the proposed method the original optimal shape design problem is converted to a control problem in a fixed domain. Results of numerical tests are presented.
