The new neutron deficient nuclide

have been produced in fusion evaporation reactions using

targets. A gas-filled recoil separator was used to separate the fusion products from the scattered beam. The activities were implanted in a position sensitive silicon detector. The isotopes were identified using spatial and time correlations between implants and decays. Two

In addition, the half-life and

Population of nuclides with Z≥98 in multi-nucleon transfer reactions of 48Ca + 248Cm
Devaraja, H. M.; Heinz, S.; Beliuskina, Olga; Hofmann, S.; Hornung, C.; Münzenberg, G.; Ackermann, D.; Gupta, M.; Gambhir, Y. K.; Henderson, R. A.; Heßberger, F. P.; Yeremin, A. V.; Kindler, B.; Lommel, B.; Maurer, J.; Moody, K. J.; Nishio, K.; Popeko, A. G.; Stoyer, M. A.; Shaughnessy, D. A. (Springer, 2019)The results for nuclei above curium, produced in multi-nucleon transfer reactions of 48Ca + 248Cm at the velocity filter SHIP of GSI Darmstadt, are presented. Spontaneous fission and α-activities have been used to study ... -
Mass measurements of neutron-deficient nuclides close to A=80 with a Penning trap
Kankainen, Anu; Batist, L.; Eliseev, S.A.; Elomaa, Viki-Veikko; Eronen, Tommi; Hager, Ulrike; Hakala, Jani; Jokinen, Ari; Moore, Iain; Novikov, Yuri; Penttilä, Heikki; Peräjärvi, Kari; Popov, Andrey; Rahaman, Saidur; Rinta-Antila, Sami; Ronkanen, P.; Saastamoinen, Antti; Seliverstov, Dmitry; Sonoda, Tetsu; Vorobjev, Gleb; Äystö, Juha (Springer, 2006)The masses of 80,81,82,83Y, 83,84,85,86,88Zr and 85,86,87,88Nb have been measured with a typical precision of 7 keV by using the Penning trap setup at IGISOL. The mass of 84Zr has been measured for the first time. These ... -
Precise mass measurements of radioactive nuclides for astrophysics
Clark, Jason; Savard, Guy; Mumpower, Matthew; Kankainen, Anu (Springer, 2023)Much of astrophysics is fueled by nuclear physics with observables, such as energy output and elements produced, that are heavily dependent on the masses of the nuclides. A mass precision of at least 50 keV/c2 for many ... -
Alpha-decay fine structure in even-even nuclei
Peltonen, Sami (University of Jyväskylä, 2009)The aim of this work has been to study the systematics of -decay fine structure in those cases, where the daughter nucleus is doubly even and has a 2+ state as the lowest excited state. Restriction to these decays is a ... -
