The triplet scalars (Δ=Δ++, Δ+, Δ0) utilized in the so-called type-II seesaw model to explain the lightness of neutrinos, would generate nonstandard interactions (NSI) for a neutrino propagating in matter. We investigate the prospects to probe these interactions in long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments. We analyze the upper bounds that the proposed DUNE experiment might set on the nonstandard parameters and numerically derive upper bounds, as a function of the lightest neutrino mass, on the ratio the mass

Novel mechanism for primordial perturbations in minimal extensions of the Standard Model
Karam, Alexandros; Markkanen, Tommi; Marzola, Luca; Nurmi, Sami; Raidal, Martti; Rajantie, Arttu (Springer, 2020)We demonstrate that light spectator fields in their equilibrium can source sizeable CMB anisotropies through modulated reheating even in the absence of direct couplings to the inflaton. The effect arises when the phase ... -

Determination of the θ23 octant in long baseline neutrino experiments within and beyond the standard model
Das, C. R.; Pulido, João; Maalampi, Jukka; Vihonen, Sampsa (American Physical Society, 2018)The recent data indicate that the neutrino mixing angle θ 23 deviates from the maximal-mixing value of 45°, showing two nearly degenerate solutions, one in the lower octant (LO) ( θ 23 < 4 5 ° ) and one in the ...
