The QCD coupling αs is determined at NLO*+NMLLA accuracy from the comparison of experimental jet data to theoretical predictions of the energy-evolution of the parton-to-hadron fragmentation function moments (multiplicity, peak, width, skewness) at low fractional hadron momentum z. From the existing e+e− and e±p jet data, we obtain αs(m2 Z ) = 0.1195±0.0021(exp)+0.0015 −0.0 (scale) at the Z mass. The uncertainties of the extracted αs value are discussed.

First global next-to-leading order determination of diffractive parton distribution functions and their uncertainties within the xFitter framework Goharipour, Muhammad; Khanpour, Hamzeh; Guzey, Vadim (Springer, 2018)We present GKG18-DPDFs, a next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD analysis of diffractive parton distribution functions (diffractive PDFs) and their uncertainties. This is the first global set of diffractive PDFs determined ...
Eskola, Kari; Paakkinen, Petja; Paukkunen, Hannu; Salgado, Carlos A. (Sissa, 2017)We report on EPPS16 - the first analysis of NLO nuclear PDFs where LHC p-Pb data (Z, W, dijets) have been directly used as a constraint. In comparison to our previous fit EPS09, also data from neutrino-nucleus deeply-inelastic ...

(Institute of Physics Publishing Ltd., 2019)Angular distributions of protons, deuterons, tritons and alphaparticles emitted in the d + 9Be reaction at Elab=19.5 and 35.0 MeV have been measured. The elastic scattering channel is analysed in the framework of both the ...
Lappi, Tuomas; Mäntysaari, Heikki; Penttala, Jani (American Physical Society (APS), 2020)We compute a light front wave function for heavy vector mesons based on long-distance matrix elements constrained by decay width analyses in the nonrelativistic QCD framework. Our approach provides a systematic expansion ...
Applicability of pion–nucleus Drell–Yan data in global analysis of nuclear parton distribution functions Paakkinen, Petja; Eskola, Kari; Paukkunen, Hannu (Elsevier B.V., 2017)Despite the success of modern nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDFs) in describing nuclear hard-process data, they still suffer from large uncertainties. One of the poorly constrained features is the possible asymmetry ...
