We present measurements of the elliptic (v2), triangular (v3) and quadrangular (v4) anisotropic azimuthal flow over a wide range of pseudorapidities (−3.5 <η<5). The measurements are performed with Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN=2.76TeVusing the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The flow harmonics are obtained using two-and four-particle correlations from nine different centrality intervals covering central to peripheral collisions. We find that the shape of vn(η)is largely independent of centrality for the flow harmonics n =2–4, however the higher harmonics fall off more steeply with increasing |η|. We assess the validity of extended longitudinal scaling of v2by comparing to lower energy measurements, and find that the higher harmonic flow coefficients are proportional to the charged particle densities at larger pseudorapidities. Finally, we compare our measurements to both hydrodynamical and transport models, and find they both have challenges when it comes to describing our data.

Centrality dependence of the pseudorapidity density distribution for charged particles in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier BV, 2017)We present the charged-particle pseudorapidity density in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV in centrality classes measured by ALICE. The measurement covers a wide pseudorapidity range from −3.5 to 5, which is sufficient ... -
Centrality and pseudorapidity dependence of the charged-particle multiplicity density in Xe–Xe collisions at √sNN = 5.44 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier B.V., 2019)In this Letter, the ALICE Collaboration presents the first measurements of the charged-particle multiplicity density, dNch/dη, and total charged-particle multiplicity, Ntot ch , in Xe–Xe collisions at a centre-of-mass energy ... -
System-size dependence of the charged-particle pseudorapidity density at √sNN = 5.02 TeV for pp, p–Pb, and Pb–Pb collisions
ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier, 2023)We present the first systematic comparison of the charged-particle pseudorapidity densities for three widely different collision systems, pp, p–Pb, and Pb–Pb, at the top energy of the Large Hadron Collider ( √sNN = 5.02 ... -

ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier B.V., 2016)The centrality dependence of the charged-particle pseudorapidity density measured with ALICE in Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV over a broad pseudorapidity range is presented. This Letter extends the previous results ... -

ALICE Collaboration (Springer, 2023)Production of inclusive charmonia in pp collisions at center-of-mass energy of √ s = 13 TeV and p–Pb collisions at center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of √ sNN = 8.16 TeV is studied as a function of charged-particle ...
