We consider a fermionic dark matter candidate interacting via a scalar mediator coupled with the Standard Model through a Higgs portal. We consider a general setting including both scalar and pseudoscalar interactions between the scalar and fermion, and illustrate the relevant features for dark matter abundance, direct search limits and collider constraints. The case where dark matter has a self-interaction strength ⟨σV⟩/mψ∼0.1–1 cm2/g is strongly constrained, in particular by the big bang nucleosynthesis. We show that these constraints can be alleviated by introducing a new light sterile neutrino N. The allowed region for the extended model consists of two triangles as a function of the mass mN and a sufficiently small sterile-active neutrino mixing angle sinθ<0.00

The first-order evolution of cosmic scalar perturbations
Aalto, Tuomas (2019)Nykytietämyksen mukaan kosminen inflaatio jätti pieniä häiriöitä lähes homogeeniseen varhaiseen maailmankaikkeuteen. Nykyään havaittavien kosmisten rakenteiden kehittyminen näistä häiriöistä on yksi kosmologian keskeisistä ... -
A search for neutrino–antineutrino mass inequality by means of sterile neutrino oscillometry
Smirnov, Mikhail; Loo, Kai; Novikov, Yu.N.; Trzaska, Wladyslaw; Wurm, M. (Elsevier BV, 2015)The investigation of the oscillation pattern induced by the sterile neutrinos might determine the oscillation parameters, and at the same time, allow to probe CPT symmetry in the leptonic sector through neutrino– antineutrino ... -
Omnibus experiment: CPT and CP violation with sterile neutrinos
Loo, Kai; Novikov, Yu N.; Smirnov, Mikhail; Trzaska, Wladyslaw; Wurm, M. (Institute of Physics Publishing Ltd., 2016)We propose to probe both the CPT and CP violation together with the search for sterile neutrinos in one do-it-all experiment. This omnibus experiment would utilize neutrino oscillometry with large scintillator detectors ... -
Omnibus experiment: CPT and CP violation with sterile neutrinos
Loo, Kai; Novikov, Yu. N.; Smirnov, M. V.; Trzaska, Wladyslaw; Wurm, M. (Institute of Physics Publishing, 2017)The verification of the sterile neutrino hypothesis and, if confirmed, the determination of the relevant oscillation parameters is one of the goals of the neutrino physics in near future. We propose to search for the sterile ... -
Sterile neutrino signals from supernovae
Keränen, Petteri; Maalampi, Jukka; Myyryläinen, Minja; Riittinen, Janne (American Physical Society, 2007)We investigate the effects of a mixing of active and sterile neutrinos on the ratios of supernova electron neutrino flux ( F e ) and antineutrino flux ( F ¯ e ) to the total flux of the other neutrino and antineutrino ...
