Here, we report on the multicomponent self-assembly and single crystal X-ray diffraction study of
a series of three interlocked mixed valence mono- and hetero-metallic [2]-catenanes made of
[2 2] metallo-grids. They show unique structural features and highlight the essential roles of
both the Cu(II)/Cu(I) pair and of the conformationally adaptable organic ligands for achieving
catenation of grids.

Structural complexity in managed and strictly protected mountain forests: effects on the habitat suitability for indicator bird species
Braunisch, Veronika; Roder, Stefanie; Coppes, Joy; Bollmann, Kurt (Open Science Centre, University of Jyväskylä, 2018)Increasing the proportion of unmanaged forest in multi-functional forest landscapes is a central goal of international and national conservation strategies. However, the structural development in newly created forest ... -

Phospha-Fischer Carbenes: Synthesis, Structure, Bonding, and Reactions of Pd(0)− and Pt(0)−Phosphenium Complexes
Caputo, Christine; Jennings, Michael; Tuononen, Heikki; Jones, Nathan (ACS, 2009)The analogy between cationic group 10 metal−phosphenium complexes and Fischer carbenes has been formalized through structural and reactivity studies and by energy decomposition analysis (EDA) of the M−P bond. The studied ... -
