dc.description.abstractIn software engineering, mutation testing is a method to assess and improve software test quality. It is more prevalent in object-oriented programming and has only seen little interest in functional programming. In this thesis, leveraging mutation testing in functional programming is explored by constructing a practical mutation testing tool called Mutix for a functional programming language called Elixir. Mutix is published as an open source testing tool for any software developer to use.en
