Kyberturvallisuuden parantaminen terveydenhuoltoalalla

Abstract

Digitalisaatio on vienyt terveydenhuoltoa harppauksin eteenpäin. Keskeistä digitalisaatiossa on, että erilaisia toisiinsa yhteydessä olevia laitteita on valtavasti. Tämä aiheuttaa myös uudenlaisia haasteita, kun haavoittuvuuksia on yhä enemmän. Terveydenhuoltoalalla haasteet ovat erityisen kriittisiä, koska kysymyksessä voi olla jopa ihmishenget. Tietojärjestelmätieteen kandidaatin tutkielma tehdään kirjallisuuskat-sauksen muodossa. Tavoitteena on auttaa terveydenhuoltoalalla toimivaa luki-jaa varautumaan alan tyypillisiin uhkiin. Yritysten sekä julkisen sektorin on yhä tärkeämpää keskittää huomiotaan kybertoimintaympäristön turvallisuuteen uhkien lisääntyessä. Terveydenhuoltoala on rikollisten erityisen mielenkiinnon kohteena. Tässä kirjallisuuskatsauksessa selvitetään, millaista tutkimusta aiheesta on ja millaisia keinoja alalla toimiville organisaatioille on suojautua kybertoimintaympäristön uhkilta.

Digitalization has taken health care industry forward by leaps. The key in digitalization is that there is vast number of different machines that are linked together. This is a cause why there is more and more vulnerabilities. In the health care the challenges are especially critical when there’s even lives concerned. Bachelor’s thesis in the field of Information Systems Science is literature analysis. The goal is to help reader working in the field of health care to pre-pare against typical cyberthreats in the field. It’s more and more important for organizations and public sector to focus on cybersecurity in the field of health care because of increasing number of threats. Health care industry is in the spe-cial focus of criminals. This literature analysis answers what kind of research there is about this topic and what means are for organizations to protect against cybercrimes.
