Tässä tutkielmassa kerrotaan mitä ohjelmistotuotannon termillä DevOps tarkoitetaan sekä sen alkuperä. Myös joitain kirjallisuudesta löytyviä määritelmiä termille käsitellään sekä mallin tunnuspiirteitä. Lopuksi selitetään, miten ja miksi DevOpsin menetelmien avulla on mahdollista saada organisaatio sen koosta riippumatta tuottamaan ohjelmistojulkaisuja nopeasti ja luotettavasti. This study explains the meaning and origin of software industry term DevOps. Some definitions in literature and relevant features are presented. Finally is told why and how it is possible to have organizations of any size to issue new software fast and reliably by means of DevOps practices.
