Three-electron reduction of hexaazatrinaphthylene (HAN)
with a magnesium(I) reagent leads to [(HAN){Mg(nacnac)}3]
(1), containing a [HAN]3– ligand with a spin of S = ½. Ab initio
calculations reveal that the [HAN]3– ligand in 1 has a groundstate
wave function with multiconfigurational properties, and
can be described as a triradicaloid species with a small
amount of open-shell doublet character.

(American Physical Society, 2019)One new pair of positive-parity chiral doublet bands have been identified in the odd-A nucleus 135Nd which together with the previously reported negative-parity chiral doublet bands constitute a third case of multiple ... -
Computational modeling of isotropic electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of doublet state main group radicals
Tuononen, Heikki; Chivers, Tristram; Armstrong, Andrea; Fedorchuk, Chantall; Boeré, René (Elsevier, 2007)The combined use of theoretical and mathematical methods in the analysis of electron paramagnetic resonance data has greatly increased the ability to interpret even the most complex spectra reported for doublet state ... -
On the validity of perturbative studies of the electroweak phase transition in the Two Higgs Doublet model
Kainulainen, Kimmo; Keus, Venus; Niemi, Lauri; Rummukainen, Kari; Tenkanen, Tuomas V. I.; Vaskonen, Ville (Springer, 2019)Making use of a dimensionally-reduced effective theory at high temperature, we perform a nonperturbative study of the electroweak phase transition in the Two Higgs Doublet model. We focus on two phenomenologically allowed ... -
Baryogenesis in the two doublet and inert singlet extension of the Standard Model
Alanne, Tommi; Kainulainen, Kimmo; Tuominen, Kimmo; Vaskonen, Ville (Institute of Physics Publishing Ltd.; Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA), 2016)We investigate an extension of the Standard Model containing two Higgs doublets and a singlet scalar field (2HDSM). We show that the model can have a strongly first-order phase transition and give rise to the observed ...
