Measurements of midrapidity charged-particle multiplicity distributions, dNch/dη, and midrapidity transverseenergy
distributions, dET /dη, are presented for a variety of collision systems and energies. Included are
distributions for Au + Au collisions at √sNN = 200, 130, 62.4, 39, 27, 19.6, 14.5, and 7.7 GeV, Cu + Cu collisions
at √sNN = 200 and 62.4 GeV, Cu + Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV, U + U collisions at √sNN = 193 GeV,
d + Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV, 3
He + Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV, and p + p collisions at
√sNN = 200 GeV. Centrality-dependent distributions at midrapidity are presented in terms of the number of
nucleon participants, Npart, and the number of constituent quark participants, Nqp. For all A + A collisions down
to √sNN = 7.7 GeV, it is observed that the midrapidity data are better described by scaling with Nqp than scaling
with Npart. Also presented are estimates of the Bjorken energy density, εBJ, and the ratio of dET /dη to dNch/dη,
the latter of which is seen to be constant as a function of centrality for all systems.

Charged-particle production as a function of multiplicity and transverse spherocity in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 and 13 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Springer, 2019)We present a study of the inclusive chargedparticle transverse momentum (pT) spectra as a function of charged-particle multiplicity density at mid-pseudorapidity, dNch/dη, in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 and 13 TeV covering ... -
Centrality Dependence of the Charged-Particle Multiplicity Density at Midrapidity in Pb-Pb Collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society, 2016)The pseudorapidity density of charged particles, dNch=dη, at midrapidity in Pb-Pb collisions has been measured at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of √sNN=5.02 TeV. For the 5% most central collisions, we measure ... -
Transverse momentum dependence of inclusive primary charged-particle production in p–Pb collisions at √sNN=5.02 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (2014)The transverse momentum (pT) distribution of primary charged particles is measured at midrapidity in minimum-bias p–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC in the range 0.15 < pT < 50 GeV/c. ... -
Charged-particle production as a function of the relative transverse activity classifier in pp, p–Pb, and Pb–Pb collisions at the LHC
ALICE Collaboration (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2024)Measurements of charged-particle production in pp, p−Pb, and Pb−Pb collisions in the toward, away, and transverse regions with the ALICE detector are discussed. These regions are defined event-by-event relative to the ... -
Charged-particle multiplicity distributions over a wide pseudorapidity range in proton-proton collisions at s√= 0.9, 7, and 8 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Springer, 2017)We present the charged-particle multiplicity distributions over a wide pseudorapidity range (−3.4<η<5.0) for pp collisions at s√=0.9,7, and 8 TeV at the LHC. Results are based on information from the Silicon Pixel Detector ...
