[Introduction] Correlations induced by quantum statistics are sensitive to the spatiotemporal extent as well as dynamics
of particle-emitting sources in heavy-ion collisions. In addition, such correlations can be used to search for the
presence of a coherent component of pion production. Two- and three-pion correlations of same and mixed charge
are measured at low relative momentum to estimate the coherent fraction of charged pions in Pb-Pb collisions at

76 TeV at the CERN Large Hadron Collider with ALICE. The genuine three-pion quantum statistics
correlation is found to be suppressed relative to the two-pion correlation based on the assumption of fully chaotic
pion emission. The suppression is observed to decrease with triplet momentum. The observed suppression at low
triplet momentum may correspond to a coherent fraction in charged-pion emission of 23%

8%.

Multipion Bose-Einstein correlations in pp,p-Pb, and Pb-Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society, 2016)Three- and four-pion Bose-Einstein correlations are presented in pp, p-Pb, and Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC. We compare our measured four-pion correlations to the expectation derived from two- and three-pion measurements. Such ... -
Two-particle differential transverse momentum and number density correlations in p-Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV and Pb-Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society, 2019)We present measurements of two-particle differential number correlation functions R2 and transverse momentum correlation functions P2, obtained from p-Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV and Pb-Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV. The results ... -
Two-particle transverse momentum correlations in pp and p-Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society (APS), 2023)Two-particle transverse momentum differential correlators, recently measured in Pb-Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), provide an additional tool to gain insights into particle ... -
Multiparticle azimuthal correlations in p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society, 2014)Measurements of multiparticle azimuthal correlations (cumulants) for charged particles in p-Pb at √sNN = 5.02 TeV and Pb-Pb at √sNN = 2.76 TeV collisions are presented. They help address the question of whether there is ... -

Blinova, Alina; Zamora-Zamora, Roberto; Ollikainen, Tuomas; Kivioja, Markus; Möttönen, Mikko; Hall, David S. (Nature Publishing Group, 2023)Monopoles and vortices are fundamental topological excitations that appear in physical systems spanning enormous scales of size and energy, from the vastness of the early universe to tiny laboratory droplets of nematic ...
