Onko haarniskan sisällä elämää? : postmodernia hahmoanalyysia Orlando Furiososta
The study introduces Orlando Furioso, which is in Finland quite unfamiliar Renaissance poem by Ludovico Ariosto, and focuses on observation of the inner life of Orlando's character. The study is impacted by Aleid Fokkema's postmodern characterization, which with the assistance of six different codes can discover wider viewpoints to the character than traditional division to flat and round characters agrees. Additionally, earlier international research and criticism towards Ariosto is roughly introduced. Any citations from the work of Ariosto are presented both in original language and in Finnish translation by the author.
