| dc.description | The value of the eco-social approach in social work lies not in its novelty as such, but in acting as a general frame that brings various views together and combines enviromental and social questions in social work. The connection between social and environmental issues has gained new significance at the dawn of the 21st century and this fact has consequences to social work practices. The negative social development and the risks it poses to sustainable development has a very significant spatial dimension in urban contexts of living environment. In this book, social and community work researchers of three European countries (Germany, Finland and Great Britain) present their theoretical reflections of eco-social approach based on European level action research.
