dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, the cultural and digital divide, and the overburdened of informatics are a challenge for guidance services. Thus, the testing of new methods of approaching disadvantaged people because of a distance from these services (geographic distance or distance connected to disability or personal difficulties) offer to decision makers an opportunity to improve the quality of lifelong guidance services. Adults pursue continuing education for a career enhancement need. In today’s workplace, we have Millennial’s, Gen- Xers, and Baby Boomers moving on and moving up in their careers. The use of technology in the provision of career services has become a necessity to meet each generations needs. This thematic session will provide an overview on how such challenges are faced through: a) A programme of virtual career development for adults through University Continuing Education at Pennsylvania State University (USA); b) An innovatory service for inclusive and efficient e-guidance and e-government services, the eGOS project (www.egos-cip.eu) | en |
