Computer source code implementing a numerical approach to modeling magnetoelectric effects generated by spin-orbit coupling in inhomogeneous diffusive 2D superconductors. It is based on direct minimization of the free energy of diffusion modes, including their coupling to the spin-orbit field strength, described by a recently discovered σ-model action.

Domain wall motion in a diffusive weak ferromagnet
Aikebaier, Faluke; Heikkilä, Tero T. (American Physical Society, 2020)We study the domain wall motion in a disordered weak ferromagnet, induced by injecting a spin current from a strong ferromagnet. Starting from the spin-diffusion equation describing the spin accumulation in the weak ... -
Proximity effect in superconducting heterostructures with strong spin-orbit coupling and spin splitting
Lu, Yao; Heikkilä, Tero T. (American Physical Society, 2019)It has been shown that singlet Cooper pairs can be converted into triplet ones and diffuse into a ferromagnet over a long distance in a phenomenon known as the long-range proximity effect (LRPE). This happens in materials ... -
Coupling the Higgs mode and ferromagnetic resonance in spin-split superconductors with Rashba spin-orbit coupling
Lu, Yao; Ojajärvi, Risto; Virtanen, P.; Silaev, M. A.; Heikkilä, Tero T. (American Physical Society (APS), 2022)We show that the Higgs mode of superconductors can couple with spin dynamics in the presence of a static spin-splitting field and Rashba spin-orbit coupling. The Higgs-spin coupling dramatically modifies the spin susceptibility ... -
Chirality selective spin interactions mediated by the moving superconducting condensate
Rabinovich, D. S.; Bobkova, I. V.; Bobkov, A. M.; Silaev, Mikhail (American Physical Society, 2018)We show that superconducting correlations in the presence of nonzero condensate velocity can mediate the peculiar interaction between localized spins that breaks the global inversion symmetry of magnetic moments. The proposed ...
