Pilvipohjaisen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän keskeisten vaatimusten mallintaminen pienyrityksessä

Abstract

Tämä pro gradu -tutkielma käsittelee toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän keskeisten vaatimusten mallintamista kohdeyrityksessä. Tutkielma on toteutettu tapaustutkimuksena suunnittelutieteellisen mallin avulla. Tutkielman tavoitteena on tuottaa IT-artefaktina tavoitetilamalli kohdeyrityksen käytettäväksi toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän muutosprosessia varten. Kohdeyrityksen tavoitteena on tehostaa organisaation tiedonhallintaa ja parantaa tiedon saavutettavuutta samalla tehostaen ydinprosesseja. Tutkimuksen rajaus perustuu yrityksen ydinprosessien kartoittamiseen. Tutkielmassa kartoitetaan yrityksen ydinprosessien nykytilanne ja suunnitellaan nykytilanteen haasteiden perusteella ydinprosessit kattava tavoitetilamalli toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän muutosprosessia varten. Aikaisempaa akateemista kirjallisuutta hyödynnetään keskeisten termien ja ilmiöiden määrittelyyn sekä niiden merkityksen analysointiin kohdeyrityksen kohdalla. Tutkielmassa muodostetaan kohdeyritykselle tavoitetilamalli, joka sisältää toiminnanohjausjärjestelmien vertailua varten tarvittavat keskeiset vaatimukset. Mallinnusprosessissa tunnistettiin yrityksen ydinprosesseiksi myynnin, valmistuksen ja huollon prosessit. Malli kattaa näiden ydinprosessien osalta yrityksen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän vaatimukset. Näiden osalta keskeisimmät vaatimukset perustuvat tuoterekisterin yhteensopivuuteen liiketoiminnan prosessien kanssa ja laitetiedon elinkaarihallintaan. Kohdeyritys pystyy mallin avulla vertailemaan eri toimittajien järjestelmävaihtoehtoja toiminnanohjausjärjestelmän muutosprosessissa.

This master's thesis addresses the modeling of the key requirements for an enterprise resource planning system in the target company. The thesis is conducted as a case study using design science research method. The objective of the thesis is to produce an IT artifact, which is a target state model for the target company to use in the transformation process of the ERP system. The target company's goal is to improve the organization's information management and accessibility while also improving efficiency of core processes. The research scope is based on the mapping of the company's core processes. In this thesis the current state of the company's core processes is mapped and a target state model that covers the core processes and can be used in the transformation process is designed based on the challenges in current state. Previous academic literature is used to define key terms and phenomena and analyze their significance for the target company. In this thesis a target state model is formed for the target company, which includes the key requirements for comparing ERP systems. The modeling process identified the company's core processes as sales, manufacturing, and maintenance service processes. The model covers the ERP system requirements for these core processes. The key requirements for these processes are based on the compatibility of the product register with business processes and lifecycle information management of machines. With the help of the model, the target company can compare different system alternatives from various vendors in the ERP transformation process.
