Ohjelmistokehitysalan perehdytyskäytännöt : systemaattinen kirjallisuuskatsaus

Tutkielmassa toteutettiin systemaattinen kirjallisuuskatsaus, jossa tutkittiin ohjelmistokehitysalan perehdytyskäytäntöjä. Katsauksessa tunnistettiin 45 perehdytyskäytäntöä, jotka luokiteltiin sosialisaatioresurssien teorian eri ulottuvuuksiin. Eniten tunnistettiin käytäntöjä, jotka liittyvät mentorointiin, tulokkaille annettaviin työtehtäviin ja palautteen antamiseen. Lisäksi tulokset toivat esiin tulokkaiden keskinäisen oppimisen, joka tutkielmassa määriteltiin sosialisaatioresurssien teoriaa täydentäväksi ulottuvuudeksi. Katsaus täydentää aiempaa tutkimusta, jossa on keskitytty yksittäisten yritysten tapaustutkimuksiin ja avoimen lähdekoodin yhteisöjen perehdytyskäytäntöihin.

In this thesis a systematic literature review was conducted to investigate the practices of newcomer onboarding in software engineering. The review identified 45 onboarding practices, categorized along the different dimensions of the Socialization Resource Theory. Practices related to mentoring, the characteristics of tasks assigned to newcomers and providing them with feedback were the most frequently identified. In addition, the results also highlighted shared learning among newcomers, which was defined in the thesis as a complementary dimension to the previous theory. The review complements previous research, which has focused on case studies of single companies and on the onboarding practices in open source communities.
