The dataset consists of phenotypic and transcriptomic data of Cryptomonas sp. when submitted to different concentrations of dissolved organic carbon (DOC), fully phototrophic conditions and glucose supplemented phototrophic conditions. In addition, scripts of processing of transcriptomic data together with input and output files are given. For more detailed description, see the attached documentation.

Do phase-dependent life history traits in cyclic voles persist in a common environment?
Sundell, Janne; Ylönen, Hannu; Haapakoski, Marko (Springer, 2019)Phenotype and life history traits of an individual are a product of environmental conditions and the genome. Environment can be current or past, which complicates the distinction between environmental and heritable effects ... -
Metabolic plasticity of mixotrophic algae is key for their persistence in browning environments
Calderini, Marco L.; Salmi, Pauliina; Rigaud, Cyril; Peltomaa, Elina; Taipale, Sami J. (Wiley, 2022)Light availability is the main regulator of primary production, shaping photosynthetic communities and their production of ecologically important biomolecules. In freshwater ecosystems, increasing dissolved organic carbon ... -
Sequencing, De Novo Assembly and Annotation of the Colorado Potato Beetle, Leptinotarsa decemlineata, Transcriptome
Kumar, Abhishek; Congiu, Leonardo; Lindström, Leena; Piiroinen, Saija; Vidotto, Michele; Grapputo, Alessandro (Public Library of Science, 2014)Background. The Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) is a major pest and a serious threat to potato cultivation throughout the northern hemisphere. Despite its high importance for invasion biology, phenology ... -
Effects of exercise on whole‐blood transcriptome profile in children with overweight/obesity
Altmäe, Signe; Plaza‐Florido, Abel; Esteban, Francisco J.; Anguita‐Ruiz, Augusto; Krjutškov, Kaarel; Katayama, Shintaro; Einarsdottir, Elisabet; Kere, Juha; Radom‐Aizik, Shlomit; Ortega, Francisco B. (Wiley, 2024)Background The current knowledge about the molecular mechanisms underlying the health benefits of exercise is still limited, especially in childhood. We set out to investigate the effects of a 20-week exercise intervention ... -
Exposure to retene, fluoranthene, and their binary mixture causes distinct transcriptomic and apical outcomes in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) yolk sac alevins
Eriksson, Andreas N.M.; Rigaud, Cyril; Krasnov, Aleksei; Wincent, Emma; Vehniäinen, Eeva-Riikka (Elsevier, 2022)Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are widely spread environmental contaminants which affect developing organisms. It is known that improper activation of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) by some PAHs contributes ...
