If n≥3 and Γ is a convex-cocompact Zariski-dense discrete subgroup of SOo(1,n+1) such that δΓ=n−m where m is an integer, 1≤m≤n−1, we show that for any m-dimensional subgroup U in the horospheric group N, the Burger-Roblin measure associated to Γ on the quotient of the frame bundle is U-recurrent.

Dynamics of the scenery flow and geometry of measures
Käenmäki, Antti; Sahlsten, Tuomas; Shmerkin, Pablo (Oxford University Press; London Mathematical Society, 2015)We employ the ergodic theoretic machinery of scenery flows to address classical geometric measure theoretic problems on Euclidean spaces. Our main results include a sharp version of the conical density theorem, which we ... -
Failure of Topological Rigidity Results for the Measure Contraction Property
Ketterer, Christian; Rajala, Tapio (Springer Netherlands, 2015)We give two examples of metric measure spaces satisfying the measure contraction property MCP(K, N) but having different topological dimensions at different regions of the space. The first one satisfies MCP(0, 3) and ... -
Geometry of Quadrangles in Almqvist’s The Queen’s Tiara
Kukkonen, Tiina Katriina (Tessellations Publishing, 2018)Quadrangles are repeatedly used in construction of scenes in Swedish author C. J. L. Almqvist’s novel The Queen’s Tiara. They limit and frame views. Repeating these structures creates connections between scenes. They form ... -
Aesthetics of Geometry and the Problem of Representation in Monument Sculpture
Lähdesmäki, Tuuli (Birkhäuser, 2017)Since the 1920s and 1930s, constructivist and concretist visual art movements have stressed geometric forms, proportions and orders as a base for artistic expressions and aesthetic experiences. After the World War II ... -
Remote Sensing of 3-D Geometry and Surface Moisture of a Peat Production Area Using Hyperspectral Frame Cameras in Visible to Short-Wave Infrared Spectral Ranges Onboard a Small Unmanned Airborne Vehicle (UAV)
