Tämän kandidaatintutkielman tarkoituksena on tarkastella erilaisia nykyaikaisia hyvinvointi- ja terveysteknologioita, ja niiden sovelluksia kuluttajamarkkinoille. Tutkimus toteutettiin systemaattisena kirjallisuuskatsauksena. Tässä tutkielmassa määritellään ja rajataan erityyppiset hyvinvointi- ja terveysteknologiset ratkaisut käyttötarkoituksensa mukaan ja tarkastellaan näiden vaikutuksia eri tyyppisille käyttäjille. Erilaiset hyvinvointiteknologiset laitteet, kuten aktiivisuusrannekkeet ovat viime vuosina nostaneet suosioitaan kuluttajamarkkinoilla. Näiden lisäksi myös erilaiset mobiililaitteisiin liitettävät terveydenseurantasovellukset ovat yleistyneet. Nämä tarjoavat kohtuulliseen hintaan tavalliselle kuluttajalle mahdollisuuden mitata ja seurata omaa terveydentilaansa, ja aktiiviliikkujillekin mahdollisuuden seurata liikuntasuorituksiaan ja palautumistaan. Näiden laitteiden keräämästä datasta voidaan tehdä erilaisia päätelmiä ja ehdottaa toimintamalleja käyttäjälleen esimerkiksi palautumisen suhteen. Huomioon otettavaa on myös julkisen terveydenhuollon mahdollisuudet hyödyntää tämänkaltaista terveysteknologiaa, etenkin IoT -ilmiön yleistyessä. ...
 
The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is research various contemporary health and wellness technologies and their applications to consumer markets. The research was conducted as a systematic literature review. All the different health and wellness technology applications are defined and confined in this review based on their reason of use, and the effects of them for different type of users are researched. Various personal wellness technology devices such as activity bracelets have become more and more popular amongst consumers. Alongside of them different health apps for mobile devices have also become more common. These technologies provide for average person or an opportunity for an to track and measure their health and for more physically active people the opportunity to track their sports activities and see their recovery. From the data these devices measure, it is possible to make educated decisions and suggest different activities for their user regarding recovery for example. The possibilities for public health to utilize health technologies in the future was also seen as an interesting trend especially regarding IoT and its applications with health technologies. ...
