Excited states in mirror nuclei 31S and 31P were populated in the 1n and 1p exit channels,
respectively, of the reaction 20Ne + 12C. The beam of 20Ne, with an energy of 33 MeV, was delivered for the
first time by the Piave-Alpi accelerator of the Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro. Angular correlations of
coincident pairs and Doppler-shift attenuation lifetime measurements in 31S and 31P were performed using the
multidetector array GASP in conjunction with the EUCLIDES charged particle detector. A comparison of the
determined B(E1) strengths of the analog mirror 7/2− → 5/2+ transitions indicates the presence of a violation
of isospin symmetry.

Isospin-symmetry breaking in masses of N ≃ Z nuclei
Ba̧czyk, P.; Dobaczewski, Jacek; Konieczka, M.; Satuła, W.; Nakatsukasa, T.; Sato, K. (Elsevier B.V., 2018)Effects of the isospin-symmetry breaking (ISB) beyond mean-field Coulomb terms are systematically studied in nuclear masses near the N = Z line. The Coulomb exchange contributions are calculated exactly. We use extended ... -

Isovector and isoscalar spin-multipole giant resonances in the parent and daughter nuclei of double-β-decay triplets
Kauppinen, Elina; Suhonen, Jouni (American Physical Society, 2022)The strength distributions, including giant resonances, of isovector and isoscalar spin-multipole transitions in the commonly studied double-β-decay triplets are computed in the framework of the quasiparticle random-phase ... -
Mass measurements of neutron-deficient nuclei and their implications for astrophysics
Kankainen, Anu; Novikov, Yuri; Schatz, H.; Weber, Christine (Springer, 2012)During the years 2005-2010 the double-Penning-trap mass spectrometer JYFLTRAP has been used to measure the masses of 90 ground and 8 isomeric states of neutron-deficient nuclides with a typical precision of better than ... -
