This thesis tries to find those interaction situations where value can be Co-created and Co-destroyed in software maintenance. It combines two subject matters, which haven’t been studied together yet. The study uses qualitative methods, interviews to be more specific, by which it tries to validate or dis-prove those situations where value Co-creation and Co-destruction happen. For the study, interviews of a group of IT-consultants, working in a mainte-nance project in the pension industry, are used. This thesis provides a list of those interactions where value Co-creation and Co-destruction can happen, within the context of software maintenance. This thesis also works as a con-versation opener to a subject where Information Systems science has only touched the surface.
