Spectroscopic, crystal structural, theoretical and biological studies of phenylacetohydrazide Schiff base derivatives and their copper complexes El-Medani, Samir M.; Makhlouf, Abdelmoneim A.; Moustafa, Hussein; Afifi, Manal A.; Haukka, Matti; Ramadan, Ramadan M. (Elsevier, 2020)Two phenylacetohydrazide Schiff base derivatives: N’-(1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)ethylidene)-2-phenylacetohydrazide, HL1, and N’-((1-hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)methylene)-2-phenylacetohydrazide, HL2, were synthesized. HL1 dimerizes ...

The solution equilibrium ...
Structural Basis of the High Affinity Interaction between the Alphavirus Nonstructural Protein-3 (nsP3) and the SH3 Domain of Amphiphysin-2 Tossavainen, Helena; Aitio, Olli; Hellman, Maarit; Saksela, Kalle; Permi, Perttu (American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Inc., 2016)We show that a peptide from Chikungunya virus nsP3 protein spanning residues 1728–1744 binds the amphiphysin-2 (BIN1) Src homology-3 (SH3) domain with an unusually high affinity (Kd 24 nM). Our NMR solution complex ...

Experimental and computational studies of transition metal complexes with polydentate amino- and amidophenolate ligands : synthesis, structure, reactivity and magnetic properties Hänninen, Mikko M. (University of Jyväskylä, 2013)Chelating polydentate ligands play a key role in several areas of modern coordination chemistry. They can be exploited, for example, in catalysis, bioinorganic chemistry, heavy metal abstraction and molecular magnetism. ...
