We report a measurement of e+e− pairs from semileptonic heavy-flavor decays in d + Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV. By exploring the mass and transverse-momentum dependence of the yield, the bottom decay contribution can be isolated from charm, and quantified by comparison to PYTHIA and MC@NLO simulations. The resulting bb¯-production cross section is σdAu bb¯ = 1.37 ± 0.28 (stat) ± 0.46 (syst) mb, which is equivalent to a nucleon-nucleon cross section of σ NN bb = 3.4 ± 0.8 (stat) ± 1.1 (syst) μb.

Azimuthal Anisotropy of Heavy-Flavor Decay Electrons in p-Pb Collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV ALICE Collaboration (American Physical Society, 2019)Angular correlations between heavy-flavor decay electrons and charged particles at midrapidity (|η|<0.8) are measured in p-Pb collisions at √sNN=5.02 TeV. The analysis is carried out for the 0%–20% (high) and 60%–100% ...
Measurement of the production cross section of prompt Ξ0c baryons at midrapidity in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 TeV ALICE collaboration (Springer, 2021)The transverse momentum (pT) differential cross section of the charm-strange baryon Ξ0c is measured at midrapidity (|y| < 0.5) via its semileptonic decay into e+Ξ−νe in pp collisions at √s = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector ...
