We describe the range of the attenuated ray transform of a unitary
connection on a simple surface acting on functions and 1-forms. We use this description

The X-Ray Transform for Connections in Negative Curvature
Guillarmou, Colin; Paternain, Gabriel P.; Salo, Mikko; Uhlmann, Gunther (Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2016)We consider integral geometry inverse problems for unitary connections and skew-Hermitian Higgs fields on manifolds with negative sectional curvature. The results apply to manifolds in any dimension, with or without ... -
Attenuated beta rebound to proprioceptive afferent feedback in Parkinson’s disease
Vinding, Mikkel C.; Tsitsi, Panagiota; Piitulainen, Harri; Waldthaler, Josefine; Jousmäki, Veikko; Ingvar, Martin; Svenningsson, Per; Lundqvist, Daniel (Nature Publishing Group, 2019)Motor symptoms are defining traits in the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease (PD). A crucial component in motor function is the integration of afferent proprioceptive sensory feedback. Previous studies have indicated abnormal ... -

(Jagellonian University, 2017)Doppler Shift Attenuation Method (DSAM) analysis of excited-state lifetimes normally employs thin production targets mounted on a thick stopper foil (“backing”) serving to slow down and stop the recoiling nuclei of ... -
Treating cachexia using soluble ACVR2B improves survival, alters mTOR localization, and attenuates liver and spleen responses
Nissinen, Tuuli; Hentilä, Jaakko; Penna, Fabio; Lampinen, Anita; Lautaoja, Juulia; Fachada, Vasco; Holopainen, Tanja; Ritvos, Olli; Kivelä, Riikka; Hulmi, Juha (Wiley, 2018)Background Cancer cachexia increases morbidity and mortality, and blocking of activin receptor ligands has improved survival in experimental cancer. However, the underlying mechanisms have not yet been fully uncovered. ... -
Acute elevations in serum hormones are attenuated after chronic training with traditional isoinertial but not accentuated eccentric loads in strength-trained men
Walker, Simon; Häkkinen, Keijo; Haff, Guy Gregory; Blazevich, Anthony J.; Newton, Robert U. (Wiley Periodicals, Inc. on behalf of the American Physiological Society and the Physiological Society, 2017)It has been proposed that the maintenance of acute hormonal responses reveal an efficacy of a training stimulus to evoke ongoing increases in strength and muscle mass. We previously observed that maximum strength continued ...
