The Bible has had a profound effect on billions of people, both believers and non-believers. This paper shows how it can be used to develop a code of ethics for a firm. Some ethical principles that can be derived from the Bible include the importance of caring for the stranger, the poor, employees, the environment, and animals. In addition, a firm interested in following the values of the Bible will not give bad advice to others, will be extremely honest, will not attempt to hurt competitors, and will behave in an aboveboard manner. Finally, its code of ethics will recognize the importance of going beyond the requirements of the law.en
