A detailed study of pseudorapidity densities and
multiplicity distributions of primary charged particles produced
in proton–proton collisions, at √s = 0.9, 2.36, 2.76, 7
and 8 TeV, in the pseudorapidity range |η| < 2, was carried
out using the ALICE detector. Measurements were obtained
for three event classes: inelastic, non-single diffractive and
events with at least one charged particle in the pseudorapidity
interval |η| < 1. The use of an improved track-counting algorithm
combined with ALICE’s measurements of diffractive
processes allows a higher precision compared to our previous
publications. A KNO scaling study was performed in
the pseudorapidity intervals |η| < 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5. The data
are compared to other experimental results and to models as
implemented in Monte Carlo event generators PHOJET and
recent tunes of PYTHIA6, PYTHIA8 and EPOS.

Measurement of charm and beauty production at central rapidity versus charged-particle multiplicity in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2015)Prompt D meson and non-prompt J/ψ yields are studied as a function of the multiplicity of charged particles produced in inelastic proton-proton collisions at a centreof-mass energy of √ s = 7 TeV. The results are reported ... -
Charged-particle multiplicity distributions over a wide pseudorapidity range in proton-proton collisions at s√= 0.9, 7, and 8 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Springer, 2017)We present the charged-particle multiplicity distributions over a wide pseudorapidity range (−3.4<η<5.0) for pp collisions at s√=0.9,7, and 8 TeV at the LHC. Results are based on information from the Silicon Pixel Detector ... -
Pseudorapidity and transverse-momentum distributions of charged particles in proton–proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier B.V., 2016)The pseudorapidity (η) and transverse-momentum (pT) distributions of charged particles produced in proton–proton collisions are measured at the centre-of-mass energy √s = 13 TeV. The pseudorapidity distribution in |η| < ... -
Transverse energy production and charged-particle multiplicity at midrapidity in various systems from √sNN = 7.7 to 200 GeV
PHENIX Collaboration (American Physical Society, 2016)Measurements of midrapidity charged-particle multiplicity distributions, dNch/dη, and midrapidity transverseenergy distributions, dET /dη, are presented for a variety of collision systems and energies. Included ... -
Dielectron and heavy-quark production in inelastic and high-multiplicity proton–proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV
ALICE Collaboration (Elsevier B.V., 2019)The measurement of dielectron production is presented as a function of invariant mass and transverse momentum (pT) at midrapidity (|ye| < 0.8) in proton–proton (pp) collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of √s = 13 TeV. ...
