The impact of this study is of a significant importance in the relationship that exists between Irish people and the GAA. The main research task evaluates the relationship between the GAA as an organisation and the people who participate in the sports. The method of research used is based on the thematic interpretation of the reading materials. This method is a form of content analysis under the name thematic content analysis, which utilises qualitative reading methods, in examining books, articles and media outlets such as Irish national newspapers.
